How are free days counted?
The start date is day one. The end date, weekends and holidays are included. Chargeable days = total calendar days − free days, with a minimum of zero.
How does the two-tier tariff work?
After the free period, the first daily rate applies for the first tier's specified number of days. All remaining days use the second rate. The result is multiplied by the number of containers. Replace the example values with your contractual rates.
Are demurrage, detention and storage combined?
No. This tool estimates one waiting-cost item using a simplified tariff. Each item may have different triggering events, free time and charging rules; calculate them separately. Taxes, currency conversion, holiday exceptions, mixed container tariffs and additional charges are excluded.
